The bitter truth

Warning: Morose post. Feel free to skip.

Sooner or later you do need to face it. Like it or not, its the truth. And truth has a way of asserting itself at the strangest of times and sock you in the face. Or the gut.

I’ve tried to run away from it. Have been trying for a long time…One doesn’t want to acknowledge it, even when others point it out. One tried to laugh it off….or pretended not to have heard it…and yet it finds ways to reach you. Ways, that you can’t just shrug away like some piece of useless gossip.

Because, the realization is as real as truth itself. It lets you be for a while, giving you space to come to terms with with it. And when you don’t learn, it begins to hound you in to submission. It follows you around…on your bed…in your bathroom…and you run as much as you can, but sooner or later it catches up and leaves you panting and ready to scream in alarm -

I really am losing a lot of hair…I am going bald!

ps: Don’t blame me for the warning! You know I have to use the dramatic effect for everything :D

ROTFL :)))
If loosing hair could make us go bald, my cat would have been bald years ago!

me: I know cats r people too but I am sure diff rules apply :D

Drama queen you are!!! Gah! I got worried thinking what happened to the usually sunny Chandni. Che! aisa karte hain apne chahnewaalon ke saath? huh? huh?

me: err…sorry. ;)

i have been going bald for few years now and have stopped thinking about it. :P

me: I am sure i’ll get to that stage pretty soon!

Haha come let’s compare bald patches and receding hairlines

me: oh totally! I bet i’ll win :D

take that same pinch :(

thanks for the hugs…and hopefully I will be more regular at your blog soon.
until then
TC

me: don’t worry…take ur time! hope u feel good soon again!

ahhh babe - you know what happened to me yeah - I had SIX big bald patches the week before I was going to get married…due to stress…

so i know the feeling….but you’ll grow it all back :)

me: I am hoping!

How boring would be this life if there would be no drama :D

me: I agree!

eeeks! change shampoo asap! Try Blossom Kocchar’s triphala Shampoo-Aroma magic/ therapy/ whatever its called.

And amla supplements!

Orrr.. just wait for it to pass. Doesn’t hair load shed once in 18 months or something..? Yea, i think so.

me: well I’ve been waiting for a few years now and it doesn’t seem to pass!

u may call be dumb, but i did not understand a thing here.

me: oh nothing much. I am going bald and everyone is sympathizing :D

Drama queen! Try Hairina-it’s stinky but good :)

me: really? never heard of it! where can I find it? as in, what kind of stores?

well for most of us, its not a dramatic effect you see :)

me: :D

Drama over loosing hair it seems! I can only empathize with your situation. I leave a trail of hair everywhere I go. :(

me: ok, everyone here seems to be losing hair…I feel better!

Neva mind.. u have company!!!

me: I know!!!!
:D

oh.. the above ‘neva mind’ was language and not a msg to the ‘Never Mind’ above :)

OMG!!!! U sure are a drama queen. going bald is good, look at the positives, save money on beauty parlor, shampoo, conditioner, oil massage.

me: and dandruff too, yes?

You should not do such posts when I’m worried about my ‘flowing (down the drain) hair’ !! :(

Err..Dipali..where do u get that Hairina?? :D tell tell.. ;)

me: No no look at the silver lining. Now I have comfort in numbers. The number of other people losing hair as well!

I will not yell at you or anything for this post, because I know just how you feel. :( I’m losing enough hair for the whole house, and I’m just 21! It’s really horrible to see your scalp giving you wicked grins from the mirror, no?

me: totally. i completely know what u’re talking about….

If there is one thing I’m terrified of, it is this. I’m scared shitless after reading this post. Go see a dermatologist Chandu.

me: I should no? really, I think I’ll go…

heehee u really caught me on this one, dramaqueen! :D

me: :D

random Q… wat have you changed your display pic to some geometric thingy??come to think of it, why has everyone changed their’s? anyway, i liked the moon pic better ..

me: That’s not us…wordpress is getting control happy and doing it!!! I love the moon pic!

Nice one :) I was all ready with tissues and stuff and then realised you are writing about me :(

me: you too! sigh….

Ha ha… you can one more person to the growing number of people going bald
In fact, i am losing so much hair, that no scrunchie or band in the world can any longer hold up my hair, I need like a tiny rubberband to actually hold it up these days

me: Gosh! Now you sound like me!

Where is the moon?? My flowers are still there…why has yours become the default thingie?? Try reloading it…it was so purty!

me: am trying!!

do something!! bring back the moon!! bring back the moon!!!

me: Its weird…some places it shows up and others its that horrible design!

Could it be the water or some such factor? The weather perhaps?
I tend to shed hair during winter.
And Chand…thanks much for your wishes…appreciate it muchly, my dear :)

me: I seem to be sheeding all the time…all seasons!!! And u’re welcome anytime :) Hope you had a good one!

Sniff - I know… I’m losing hair too… it’s seasonal I guess…

me: seriously don’t know yaar…this season seems to have lasted for a few years now!!!

Hahahahahaaaaaaa! That’s awesome!

Ditto btw. I am going bald too. Its the water. Horrid Dwarka water!

me: make that dwarka and south delhi

I sympathise, my eyebrows are dropping out. Hopefully your hair will grow back again

me: I hope so!!!

This is serious stuff Chandni and I will make no jokes about it. Try homeopathy.

me: ok :(

hey chandni! i figured out why you have suddenly got that weird geometric thingy happening in place of the moon. go here-http://wordpress.com/blog/2008/05/04/default-avatars/ to read up about how to un-do it.

im mightly proud with my discovery!!! :D :D :D

me: Good job! I am most impressed :) Hopefully life will be normal again

I was wondering where that was going…too funny. I feel the same way sometimes. And then look at my daughter’s beautiful head of hair and smile, because apparently that’s where my hair went. ;)

me: awwww that’s so cute. But see, I don’t have such an excuse yet. I am worried that by the time I have a baby girl, there won’t be any hair to pass on :D

Phew.. Hair loss, thats i? i was worried that it was something serious when i read the warning,.. :D

just dont worry abt it girl..Hugsss

me: thanks for the sympathy!

Me too :((

me: welcome to the club.

Add shoeflower and fenugreek seeds in coconut oil, heat it, let it cool and apply to control thinning of the hair.
