Low maintainence but Hi design!

Ok its that time of the year again. When I am unable to write. So Shaktii will be my knight..err girl knight in shining armour who’s tag I shall hang on to, for dear life.

And it doesn’t require thinking, so the enthusiasm is full!

And just like I have discussed the contents of my fridge once earlier, it is time to enlighten you with the contents of my handbag!

But first, I need to tell you about my handbag. The thing is, I LOVE bags! This is a newly acquired , nice big black leather bag, gifted by the Boy in Pondicherry. And no, not because I was in any need of one, but because we happened to be there and its like the headquarters of Hidesign and the Boy had promised me a Hidesign bag, and now that I think about it…he got away with paying less than he would have, in delhi..( makes mental note to get one more out of him...)

So yes. My lovely big black Hidesign leather bag…

At this point, it contains…

  • My wallet. Which contins money, credit/debit cards, visiting cards, passport size photos etc etc
  • Chambor Lipsticks. 2 in number. No, it isn’t because I use them, but just because they’re there. I don’t wear lipstick, in case any one ’s interested.
  • Bodyshop Lip balm. 1 in number.
  • Kaajal Stick. 1 in number.
  • Lip gloss. 2 in number. Maybelline and Revlon.
  • Hair brush.
  • Safety pins. 2 in number. ( I have no idea!)
  • One crushed paper napkin with some saunf/fennel seeds. Yes, I am the kinds who spreads the paper napkin after a meal in a restaurant and stuffs it with saunf and mishri and hides them in the bag. For no apparent reason. But mind you, not all saunf, just the sugar coated white one. :D
  • Chocolates. One bar of twix, one Dairy Milk and one 5 star. (God! If the Boy reads that.…)
  • Mints. Chewing gum.
  • Pens. 2 in number.
  • My Organizer. Its a little black number that’ll fit in to any bag…
  • Loose coins. Amounting to 26 rupees!
  • A coaster. More like a soveiner really, the thermocol kind whacked from Blues in CP on my last visit.
  • The Warranty card for my bag!
  • Bills. Mobile bill as well as the credit card bill.
  • Bits of paper with peoples’ phone number scribbled on them!
  • Anti-allergic medicine. As essential as a sanitary towel if you ask me…you never know when you’ll need it! Oh, and that too.
  • 2 ruffles/ head bands. And I am glad I am doing this tag and going through the bag, as I’ve been looking for them all over the house!
  • Small tub of vaseline.
  • Err…print outs of two recipes. Anyone interested in Achari paneer or Daal-Baati? ;)
  • Some receipts from shopping.
  • Cell phone charger.
  • Tissue paper.
  • Tooth picks.

And I shall stop here. Before it gets any more embarassing.

and rolling saunf in restaurant napkins is totally acceptable =D

i whack toothpicks after meals compulsively. then chew on them while driving.

wheeeeeeeee!!! My first tag ever!!! hehehehe. Btw, we have something in common, my bag’s also Hidesign! My uncle used to work there earlier so… :D I will also confess that I accidentally typed Indesign at first… it’s the pagemaking software I use at work… workaholic I am for sure :)

Enjoyed reading it and delighted I am included in the list of those tagged!I was getting excited reading the list and thinking, “I have some ruffles/scrunchies/head bands in my bag too..chewing gum, lipstick(I use mine)…oh I must do this too”… and then I read I am tagged :) Recipies, bag’s warranty card and the coaster are highly original!Pens, kajal sticks, saunf and all I too might find in mine…just came from Mumbai this morning, my bag will probably have the toll tickets too! Let me get the bag here and make this list right away!

LOL! LADY!!! U proved ur womanhood!!! I know there are other easy ways of proving it, still ur bag has everything tat a self respecting woman’s hand bag should hold!!! And yea, tat marathon bag digging when the phone rings shouldnot be missed - Hi design or picked from Mumbai streets, a bag has to go thru this I guess!

And yeah.. crushed napkins, sugar coated suahf seeds, lip gloss.. everything is absolutely necessary!

hehhee…that safety pin part was good! I dont know why we girls always have safety pins that almost never come to use :D I have a whole bunch too and I dont dare remove them outa the bag :D

About the post..Yes,I do agree with the point that you made about non-creative periods.Happens with us when we try too hard to write something.Another way of looking it would be Ayn Rand’s way.Interesting contents that you have got there in your handbag.Wonder why the keys were not there. mine has pretty much all you mentioned,minus the safety pins,mobile charger and chocs.. instead throw in - house keys, my cupboard keys[oh,yes,i hav a secret cupboard that no one but me has access to;)].

me: well, as I said…its been there in the inside pocket from the time I got it and I haven’t bothered to take it out!

Your bag must be enoumous and quite heavy to carry around. These kind of tags are useful for a clear out!

Can I ask why you carry lipsticks which you don’t use anyway?

me: because a few months ago something called ‘wedding’ happened to me and apparently u need to get lipstick when u get married. beats me though. So they’re there, and since they are there they might as well be carried around in the bag….
